It is easy to say that we want to get over with things right away, but of course. It is always easier said than done.
Just like that song, we wanted to break free, to start a new beginning and to move on with our lives. But why does it seem to take longer for us to be free?
Reaching the point that we unintentionally created our prison that’s continuously holding us from being happy again. Self doubt is dangerous for your growth.
Do you know that as long as you hold this doubt with the grudge and resentment, we are more likely hurting ourselves deeper?
The other person that has caused us pain, would have moved on by this very moment. They may be happy now without thinking about you. But here we are, still struggling with the feeling of pain or betrayal.
I’ve been there & done with self doubt.
I’ve realized that the key to getting free of this pain is to forgive the person regardless if they asked for it or not. In that way, you are first helping yourself to move on from that experience. You deserve to be happy, so get free from all your pains.
Others are having a hard time to get free from the guilt of past mistakes. They are full of regrets thinking if only they did not commit that one big mistake, their lives must be different.
We can’t take back time. Please be reminded that as humans, it binds us to make mistakes because we are not perfect.
If we continue to cling on to those mistakes, it will prevent us from trying new things. It will cripple us and would not allow us to experience new fulfilling adventures in life. Life is full of lessons, making mistakes is not the issue as long as we are learning from it and we’re putting such lessons into practice. Steps to let go your self doubt:
- Be aware of those events that have been bothering you, make a note of all these events
- Identify which one is the most significant event if that would have not happened you would have been happy and free from doubt
- Say it out loud, what has happened during that event that gave you this doubt
- Do the time line therapy for self doubt, take the learning from the events. Make require some help to learn from the event.
- Travel in past and distort that significant event put the event in a box so it is not available
- Future pace by applying all the learning and let us know how does it go
